Teancum and I have been looking for a new car for a long time. I will need a car to start my practicum in March. P.S. I got the sweet sweet internship at Eastern State Hospital that I wanted.
So, we found a car on craigslist, contacted the buyer, went and looked at it, got a buyer's inspection, told the guy we wanted the car, went to the bank, and then...
Turns out the guy didn't have the title, couldn't get the title, wanted our money first without the title, and lots of other dodgy stuff.
So we left without the car, but kept in contact with the seller.
Looooong story short, the seller could never get the info that we needed to get the loan and was super unwilling to work with us to get anything done. Teancum and our banker put lots of hours into figuring out what was going on with the title and how we could get the car.
Weeks later and so many hours behind us, we gave up on that supposedly perfect car. We drove to a car dealership, picked one and bought it the next day, driving away with current license plates and everything already done for us. As it turns out buying a car is actually really easy in real life.
We called the first seller back to tell him the deal was finally off and he immediately wanted to do anything to work with us. He was even willing to sign over the title and work out the money later. It was the BEST breakup call ever.
And now...
Our new car.
It's so great and so fun to drive!
I find myself trying to think of reasons to drive places, especially bumpy or slippery places, so I'll have to try to keep that to a minimum. Dirt roads sure look fun now!

I bet that was such an awesome feeling to call the guy back and tell him it was off. Ha.
I am excited for you guys! Looks Great! Who gets to drive the new car or do you rotate days, lol. When Dad bought his truck, it was the same way. They call me a speed demon driving off road up on Timp. It feels much safer in the snow too.
