Teancum and I went on an airboat ride through the Florida Everglades.
I thought it was so so so pretty!

Anhinga, a.k.a. the Snakebird. These birds were everywhere.
They are water birds, but they don't have the oil glands other birds have to make them waterproof, so they have to stand out in the sun with their wings outstretched to dry off after being in the water.
Very weird to see.

Some sad events from the trip:
Having my wallet and phone stolen because I was dumb and left them in the car.
Having to tell everyone I was pregnant in a non-creative way because I was sick on the trip and couldn't think of excuses everyday. :)
A few highlights:
I got my wallet back! And they didn't use any of my cards before I canceled them!
The wonderful warm weather in November!
Seeing family I hadn't seen in a very long time.
Seeing tons of wild alligators for the first time in my life. Seriously, there were tons.
All of the awesome plants, trees, and crazy birds! It was so different from anything here.

Great alligator photos; sweet bird photos; too bad we didn't have a chance to do the paddle boat thing in the backyard of Jane's house. Nice sunset on Sanibel Beach-and Remember the Manatee! that we kind of saw for a minute-fun trip!-Pa[ul].
What's this about a manatee?! I wish I could have seen one. Good jorb getting these up finally! It makes me want to go back.
