The Bridge on the River Kwai....Spokane

On the Fourth of July Teancum and I went to a ward breakfast and I sat by this 95 year old lady named Elda that had the funniest stories to tell. She was super nice.

Later we went to Spokane to watch fireworks at the Riverfront Park. There were lots of people. Lots and lots, so we went to sit on a bridge away from the huge crowds and it was still pretty amazing.

Isn't this a cool bridge? There is a gondola lift that goes through the arch in the middle.

I like this building
Oh and berries here are cheaper than in Utah. Mmmmmm.

So where does the gondola lift go? And do blackberries grow in Spokane like they do in Tacoma? I look forward to hearing stories from Elda...

Is it just me, or does it look really fun to jump off that bridge?

I don't actually know where the gondola goes, from what I can tell it just goes under the bridge and then back, but I don't know for sure. And I think blackberries grow here- everyone sells them at the local farmer's markets. Washington is neat :)
